An inclusive Aotearoa New Zealand where everyone belongs.

Together, we can build an inclusive society

Aotearoa New Zealand can be a place where everyone feels they belong. Inclusive Aotearoa Collective Tāhono (IACT) is led by the belief we can build an inclusive society, founded on the partnership of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

We asked you about belonging

In early 2020, we began our work by asking New Zealanders about their experiences of belonging, and not belonging. We met with over 800 people and listened to their stories. We invite you to explore what they shared with us.

  • When do you feel like you belong?
  • What stops you from feeling like you belong?
  • What needs to change so you feel like you belong?

Let’s work together

  • Building upon and connecting

Building upon what we heard in 2020, we will deepen conversations and activate partnerships around inclusion and belonging to bring about enduring change.

  • You can take a lead

A more inclusive Aotearoa New Zealand needs collective leadership and action. We invite you and your community to connect with us and others working for an inclusive society.
