Inclusive Aotearoa Collective | UPDATE #04

Kia ora koutou, Greetings & As-Salaam-Alaikum,

A big thank you to everyone who could be part of the inaugural online hui on 3 July 2019, we really enjoyed getting to hear from all those that were interested in being part of the Inclusive Aotearoa Collective.

For those who couldn’t make it, you can listen to a brief audio update (14mins) from
Anjum Rahman at the online hui link on SoundCloud »
LISTEN HERE

We’re really heartened by the depth and breadth of people we had on the call, and the various communities and organisations you all represent. Also the mix of skills was great, and will be so helpful for the project moving forward.

Over the next few weeks, Anjum will have collated and curated key people participating on the online hui into groups in terms of the key areas of work you expressed an interest in, and will be contact directly about those. Anjum will also include those who couldn’t make the call but sent in their apologies.

If there is anyone else that has a particular area of interest (in light of the video and the key areas of work that were outlined), please do get in touch and email us over the next few days.

As for a few other key updates:

Next IAC online hui – we are intending to have the next IAC hui on:
Thursday, 8 August 2019
4:30 – 6:00pm
ZOOM LINK »
IAC Facebook group (closed) – in the meantime, we thought a closed facebook group could be a good idea to keep in touch in between the monthly calls, and whilst waiting for the website to be live!
IAC Website coming soon – on that note, we are currently designing/developing a simple microsite, hoping to go live over the next month, and we’ll be posting more regular updates there once it’s up & running!
Ongoing IAC engagement – for those people who don’t feel comfortable with video-conferencing, please email me and we can discuss a way of engaging that works for you.

Thank you for all your ongoing support!
And look forward to connecting online (or off) very soon.

Ngā mihi nui,

Anjum Rahman
