Job title: Secretariat administrator
Location: REMOTE FROM ANYWHERE IN AOTEAROA NEW ZEALAND
Hours: An average of 5 hours per week (as required)
Term of contract: 6 months (to be renewed if funding permits)
Rate: $35 per hour

Tāhono is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented administrative kaimahi to join our team, with a key role in supporting our community network: the Coalition for Better Digital Policy.
This is a perfect opportunity for someone passionate about making online spaces safer and looking for additional income.
About the Opportunity:
As the administrator, you will provide remote project support, draft budgets, attend and minute meetings, and assist with a variety of tasks on assignment. Strong communication skills, competent software and computer literacy, and a can-do attitude are required.
Tasks involved but not limited to are as follows:
Admin support
- Answering telephone calls and emails to ensure queries are dealt with professionally and on time.
- Organising meeting times and agendas, and set up zoom links and calendar invites.
- Taking minutes of meetings.
- Database support and management.
- Co-ordinating travel arrangements, if needed.
- Undertaking other administrative assignments as required.
Accounting support
- Ensuring invoices are checked against quotes, contracts or budget lines and the correct approvals have been made. If there are discrepancies, they are to be investigated and resolved appropriately before being sent to the Tāhono accounts person for payment.
- Dealing with all inquiries related to invoices/payments.
The person we are looking for has:
- A minimum of 3 years of administrative experience;
- Experience connecting and engaging with diverse communities;
- A commitment to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tino rangatiratanga;
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, and an open mind to learning new software and skills;
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude combined with an ability to take initiative and work autonomously without supervision;
- The capacity to work remotely, with the office equipment needed to fulfill the tasks required.
