UNDRIP Open Letter

The image says "50+ organisations have signed an open letter expressing their support for the Government to continue their work towards the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples", and shows a gallery of the many organisations participating.

Today 61 organisations and individuals released an open letter calling on Government to be bold, act on its values and continue work towards recognising Indigenous human rights in Aotearoa and building a just future. This comes after comments from Minister Willie Jackson indicating the work program on meeting obligations under the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) may be dropped.

We need your support. Cabinet is meeting on Monday to decide what happens to this crucial work and they need to know we want it to continue. Please read the letter here, and share it through your networks!
