A community-based national strategy for diversity and inclusion
We proudly present our latest resource: ‘A community-based national strategy for diversity and inclusion’.
This strategy offers eight outcomes and action-oriented objectives that could be valuable to other community-based organisations in Aotearoa and abroad.
The concepts draw on themes from our belonging research, where we travelled around Aotearoa to ask diverse communities what strengthens and what stands in the way of belonging and inclusion. We have offered insight into how these outcomes can be achieved through some examples of our own projects and actions.
We encourage you to utilise and share this tool as you see fit, and we are happy to offer advice on how these outcomes can be implemented. We also welcome you to reach out and describe how this strategy’s concepts fit within your organisation’s kaupapa. We will launch a follow-up national strategy in early 2025, which will contain reflection, gathered feedback and success stories from community organisations, and we would love you to be a part of that process.
