Rebuilding Trust: Media Harm in Aotearoa
Our joint webinar with the Broadcasting Standards Authority and Tāhono Media week is now available as a recording…

Tāhono Media is a cross-sectoral group of advocates, working together to improve media representation for under-represented communities.
Our nationwide research project highlighted that inauthentic and harmful media representation was a consistent barrier to belonging and wellbeing. These findings inspired us to take action, and after a wayfinding hui in 2021 Tāhono Media was formed.
The group works positively with communities and the media to create greater mutual understanding and – through advocacy, education and relationship building – improve representation.
