Media as Allies
Our Media as Allies group was invited to speak at StuffNZ’s Te Matarau wānanga at Te Māhurehure Marae in Pt Chevalier, Auckland this month. The wānanga was focused on bringing together leading media representatives to share research on the misrepresentation of Māori and marginalised groups in New Zealand media.
Anjum Rahman, Chris Ford, and Riddhish Parekh held a panel that shared the research our Media as Allies group has collected for the past year. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to share our desires and some hopeful ideas on how media representation could improve our country, and we are very grateful to Stuff for inviting us along.
