The National Race Unity Hui will give over 100 young people (15-30) and their supporters a chance to share their views, listen to one another and build a common vision of the future of race relations in Aotearoa.

More about the Race Unity Hui
Race Unity Hui are spaces for young people and their supporters to contribute to the national discourse on race relations. The National Hui brings together youth from all over Aotearoa to deepen their understanding and share their views. Representatives of government, the media and civil society will attend the National Hui to listen to the insights shared by the youth.The heart of the Race Unity Hui are facilitated small group discussions on a common set of questions and concepts. Participants in the National Hui will also get the opportunity to run Local Race Unity Hui in their areas, opening this kōrero to many more who deserve to be heard.All of the views shared at the Hui are synthesised into a Race Unity Statement that is shared with influential members of society and the general public. Through this statement, the youth who participate in the Hui have the chance to affect the national discourse on race relations.
